How the work divides up

Almost everything on this page falls into one of two calls. The first is a door that has stopped — a broken spring, a door off its track, an opener that has given up. Those are same-day priorities, because a door that will not open usually has a car shut behind it. The second is planned work: a tune-up before anything breaks, a dented section put right, or a new door on the front of the house.

The two are more connected than they look. A door whose spring balance is never checked makes the opener carry weight it was never designed to lift, and over enough years that burns out the gear system and the motor mounts. Most of the opener failures we are called to were a balance problem first. That is the whole argument for maintenance, and it is why the tune-up is the cheapest thing on this list.

What every call has in common

The estimate is free, the phone quote is free, and there is no surcharge for evenings or weekends — the same rate applies whenever you call. The trucks carry brand-name parts, which is what makes same-day repair realistic rather than a promise; most jobs are finished on the first visit rather than left open waiting on an order. Nothing is subcontracted. The person who turns up works for the company, and Craig is on the tools himself on a great many of these calls.

We work across roughly a 35-mile radius of the Peoria office, which takes in most of the valley — see where we work for the full list. If you would rather read before you call, the FAQ answers the questions that come up most, the warranty and guarantee page sets out what is covered and for how long, and the site map lists every page on the site in one place.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe what the door is doing and we will tell you. The diagnosis is our job, and the phone quote is free.
