Performance Door Service offers same-day and emergency repair to both residential and commercial customers throughout the Phoenix metro area. Our certified technicians carry all the parts necessary to fix all types of garage doors in their trucks, which means you never wait on a part to be ordered before your door runs again.

If you are a homeowner or a business with a garage door emergency, call us. We can usually arrive within the hour, and unlike a lot of companies we will not charge you extra for night or weekend service.

The most time-sensitive repairs we see are broken springs and doors coming off their tracks. When a spring breaks the door becomes impossible to lift, which usually means a vehicle is locked inside. When a door comes off its tracks it can end up hanging sideways in the opening, leaving the garage — and the house — wide open.

How a garage door repair call runs

1

Call and describe it

Tell us what the door is doing. We'll give you a rough idea over the phone at no charge, and in most cases get a technician out the same day.

2

On-site inspection

A certified technician works through a full checklist — door, track, springs, cables and opener — and shows you what they find. The service call and safety inspection is $55, waived if you go ahead with the work.

3

Fixed on the spot

The parts are already on the truck, so most repairs are finished during the same visit rather than booked in for a second trip.

Worth knowing

  • The parts are already hereA stocked truck is the difference between a repair finished today and a repair booked in for next week.
  • No emergency premiumWe think everyone should be able to have a working garage door without watching the clock to avoid a surcharge.
  • You see what we findThe technician walks you through the inspection and gives you options rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it number.

Garage Door Repair questions

How long does it take to repair my garage door?

Sometimes under an hour, and most of the time it is a same-day repair regardless. In rare cases, depending on how complex the issue is, it can take longer.

Do you charge extra on weekends?

No. There is no extra charge whether it is a weekend or the middle of the night.

Why won't my garage door close?

The first thing to check is the safety eye sensors — they are designed to stop the door closing if something is in the way. Make sure they are lined up and not blocked. If they are clear and it still will not close, have a certified technician look at it. Do not try to force it down: you can pull the wheels off the track or rack the door crooked and turn a small repair into a large one.

Why won't my garage door open?

It could be the gear in the motor failing or burning out, a broken spring, or worn bearings and rollers. Before you pick up the phone, check the wall-mounted control is not in lock mode — when lock mode is engaged the remotes will not open the door.

How much do you charge to come to my house?

There is a $55 service call and safety inspection fee, and in most cases we waive it when you go ahead with a repair.
